Project story

Context

A fully personal project, designed and built solo from the ground up. The idea came from the lack of a simple tool to centralize everything related to your vehicles: fuel consumption, expenses, insurance, paperwork... this information is usually scattered across spreadsheets, inboxes and drawers.

Problem

No existing app covered the full set of needs in a smooth, customizable way: fuel-consumption tracking, expense history by category (fuel, maintenance, insurance), document storage, and sharing information within a household. Available solutions were either too simplistic or built for professional use only.

Solution

Built a fullstack Next.js application with a Node.js backend, a PostgreSQL database, and deployment on Vercel. The interface offers an analytics dashboard with trend charts, multi-vehicle management, document storage (registration, insurance...), and a household preferences system to control what each member can see. Dark/light mode is carefully handled to avoid a flash on load. Framer Motion powers smooth animations and loading skeletons.

Results

A fully functional site, deployed to production on Vercel.
